Twinkletoes preschool is a new venture for all the staff. It has taken a long time to achieve but finally all the stars aligned for it to begin.
Each of us have different backgrounds within the childcare sector but we all share the same passion and drive, which is to make this preschool a roaring success.
Our daily structure will incorporate - learn, educate and play with our dedicated qualified teachers and other childcare professionals with enriching indoor and outdoor play experiences.
We understand that these first experiences within a preschool setting will have a forever lasting impact on their future learning and lives.
Everyday our aim is that the children leave Twinkletoes excited and enriched and look forward to their next session with us.
Twinkletoes Preschool in Wilmington provides a safe, happy and stimulating educational environment in which children are valued as unique individuals, supported by caring, experienced and qualified practitioners.
Learning through play and interaction in a place where they have empowerment over their environment.
We promote an atmosphere of mutual respect and encouragement where children are prepared for their next steps in learning so that they are happy, confident, creative, sociable and enthusiastic learners, who look forward to challenges.
A strong partnership between home and preschool is created, liaising closely with parents, other professionals and linking with our community
• Ensure that the welfare of each individual child in our care is paramount and forms the basis of our practice

Hi, I am the owner of Twinkletoes and this is a dream come true for me. I have worked hard for the past 6 years as a childminder as well as studying at university to get my degree in Early Years (I graduated woo hoo). I am very excited to be going on this journey and am positive that Twinkletoes will grow and develop into an outstanding and dynamic preschool. I look forward to meeting all the many parents and children who will grace us through our doors.
I have been teaching in primary education for ten years and I am a fully qualified teacher with QTS. I studied at Goldsmiths University in London where I obtained a BA in Education with Honours. Over the years I have been on numerous training courses to continue my professional development, over this time I have taken a keen interest in children with specific educational needs.
For the last three years I have been Foundation Stage Leader in a large, local school. This is where I have realised my passion for teaching younger children. I believe that children’s first experiences of education are so influential and have such a big impact on the rest of their school life. I am particularly passionate about the development of fine motor skills and the teaching of phonics. Play and exploring is vital to learning at this young age and I am looking forward to being able to provide and facilitate this in this amazing environment.
I was originally working as Toni's assistant in her childminding setting and had been since February 2018 I started my career in hairdressing but was approached by Toni and took up the chance to fulfill a life long ambition to work with children.
I am very excited about having the opportunity to work at Twinkletoes and to be apart of something fantastic.
I completed my Level 3 in Childcare qualification in 2009. Since then I have worked in several childcare settings and I am passionate about working with children in the early years, in particular children with special education needs. I have completed various training courses including SENCo, and I am currently studying towards a degree in Child and Youth Studies. I am glad to have joined the Twinkletoes family and be part of a great team. I look forward to working closely with my key children and their families.
I have previously worked in various roles within a primary school setting, mostly with year 1 children. I was also an after school supervisor for a local primary school, where I enjoyed encouraging the children to try different foods by baking and expressing themselves through art and design.
I also took a class in BEAM which helps children with co-ordination and balance difficulties by trying out different exercises.
I’m really looking forward to working with the Twinkletoes family and watching the children grow.
